Comfort for an unforgettable experience
Spacious Living Room
The sitting room is a comfortable room in which to relax. It has 2 sofas, easy chair, coffee table, antique pew, sideboard and corner cupboard and a rocking chair.
Heating is supplied by a wood pellet burner. This efficient heating unit will heat the whole house in those chillier evenings.
For your entertainment there is a satellite TV, with DVD player. The satellite TV is available in several languages. There is also a radio and CD player.
The walls are plastered with some of the original construction stones showing through and oak beams in the ceiling.
Kitchen/Dining Room
The kitchen/dining room has a large oak dining table and 6 chairs. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking and has a kitchen island/breakfast bar. This is a stone walled room with exposed oak beams in the ceiling. It is full of character and ambiance. An electric radiator supplies heating in the cooler months. There is a double-glazed, south facing french-door to the drive and garden.
If you feel like a night off from cooking, there are restaurants in the area.
For those cooks amongst you, the kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, automatic washing machine, an electric oven, an induction hob with 4 "rings", a microwave oven, toaster, coffee filter machine and electric kettle. There are induction rated saucepans, a vegetable steamer, frying pans, cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, sharp knives, wine glasses (of course), tumblers, etc. I hope I have included everything you may need to cook a good meal from scratch.
There is also an ironing board and iron. There is a rotary clothes line in the garden for drying your laundry.
Bedrooms
Both bedrooms are upstairs. The larger of the 2 bedrooms has a double bed and a single bed - a family room.
The smaller bedroom has a double bed. All beds are made up with duvets, pillows and quality bed linen. Towels are also supplied.
The bedrooms and study/reading area have velux-type windows. The upstairs rooms have exposed oak beams in the walls and ceilings and are tastefully decorated. The colour of the towels and bed linen may vary. There is a hair dryer in the bathroom.
All the bedrooms have heating for the cooler months of the year.
Shower Room
The shower room is large with exposed oak beams and velux-type window to give both light and ventilation. There is a heated towel rail both to dry your towels and to warm the room on cooler days. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom.
Office/Reading Area
The landing is a roomy area with a desk, office chair, bookcase and a range of books for your perusal.
It gives an ideal area, away from the sitting room to work on your laptop or notepad or just have a quiet read..
Relaxation areas
The garden is large and spacious with flower beds, shrubs and trees. Seats are placed around the garden. Sit and listen to the birds singing, read, relax in the sun or shade .... The garden is there for you to enjoy.
A barbecue is available if you would like to cook and eat outside.
